  • Dotcom IoT LLP, in collaboration with leading healthcare innovators, developed a biomedical wearable patch aimed at continuous and non-invasive health monitoring. 

  • The objective was to create a compact, reliable, and patient-friendly solution for real-time tracking of vital health parameters.

Business Need
  • There is a growing demand for real-time, remote, and continuous patient monitoring, especially for early diagnosis, wellness tracking, and post-operative care.

  • Healthcare providers required a wearable device that could:

    • Track key vitals like temperature, SpO₂, heart rate, and posture

    • Operate wirelessly and comfortably on the body

    • Communicate securely with a smartphone application for real-time health analysis

    • Support over-the-air firmware upgrades to enhance functionality over time

Dotcom Contribution
  • Designed and developed a Bluetooth-enabled biomedical patch that senses:

    • Body temperature

    • SpO₂ (blood oxygen level)

    • HRM (heart rate monitoring)

    • Body posture/movement

  • Utilized ARM Cortex-M4 for low-power, high-efficiency embedded processing.

  • Implemented ZephyrRTOS for reliable real-time operation across multiple sensors and BLE communication.

  • Built-in BLE 5.2 module for stable and energy-efficient wireless communication with Android devices.

  • Developed a companion Android application to receive, log, and analyze physiological data in real-time.

  • Integrated OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware update support for remote bug fixes and feature enhancements.
